Pakistan’s Test Cricket on Top: Azhar Ali becomes 4th Triple Centurion Batsman

On Friday night in Dubai, Azhar Ali stamped his name in the record books by scoring a fine triple century on Day 2 of the Day-Night Test match against West Indies. With this hit, the 31-year-old turned into the 25th batsman to score a 300 in Tests.
Fourteen years ago, a 17-year-old Azhar Ali was a substitute fielder when Inzamam-ul-Haq scored his 329 against New Zealand in Lahore in 2002 and he wished to reveal the history through his own.
Azhar said, “I still memorize when Inzamam hit the triple century and I was a substitute fielder there. Now I have my own and it is a great achievement for me that cannot be forgettable. It is something that I will remember during my entire life.”
Azhar Ali batted for more than five sessions and helped Pakistan to post an enormous aggregate of 579 for 3 before Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haq announce to declare.
He mentioned, “I am missing my senior batsman especially Younis Khan in this match. He has consistently been my good example and I was perched on his seat in the dressing room so I needed to keep the respect of that seat also. I am glad that I have coordinated him on the grounds that at whatever point he scores a hundred he takes it to twofold or huge scores.”
At one stage in his profession, Azhar Ali had the lowness of going onto to score only one century out of 14 events he went past a fifty in Tests. After taking Younis Khan’s seat in the dressing room in Dubai, he repeated the same as senior did.
At the end, Azhar dedicated his innings to his parents who always play a vital role to guide him how to face difficulties in his life and Pakistani nation.
Moreover, he said that there was no difficulty to play with a pink ball. We watched it clear that’s why we runs high scores.
West Indies will continue Day 3 with back payments of 510 runs and have a mountain to climb in the event that they are to deny the hosts a great result.
It is another landmark from Pakistan Test Cricket Team after achieving 1st position in the ICC test cricket ranking.
