Now You Can React to Facebook Comments with Emoticons
Love or hate you cannot debate, Facebook’s Reactions are here to stay. It’s been over a year since Facebook officially rolled out its spread out “Reactions” characteristic which lets its users express a variety of feelings and emotions – “like, love, haha, wow, sad or angry.” This feature has recently been extended to the comments section too. Now users can react not only to posts on Facebook or messages on the inbox Messenger but also to the comments. So, why bother replying to someone’s comment with a long boring sentence when you can show your feeling by simply reacting with a cute emoji!

The latest emoji reaction feature emerges to be rolling out gradually on desktops, and smartphone as well so it’s evident that it shows up for everyone. So as to add reactions to your comments, all you need to do is just hover over the Like button and the six default reaction options will pop up.
According to a statement from a Facebook official, about why the social media giant made a decision to facilitate the comments section with the reactions feature, “We’ve heard from people they’d like more means to exhibit their reactions in conversations on Facebook, so we’re rolling out the feature to react to comments.”
Though, there is no available animation after clicking a reaction button, like in the Messenger’s mobile implementation. No matter the expansion of the reactions feature addition to comments was long overdue or is something that shouldn’t have taken off the drawing board in the first place, it entirely depends on the users and how they feel about the cartoonish emojis.
