Nokia’s Three New Devices Rumored to Hit the Market Soon
Nokia’s latest smartphone devices haven’t even hit shelves yet, but the hype shows that they’re already girding their loins up for a full-fledged comeback to the smartphone world to claim their lost throne.
The Finnish brand along with its licensed developer HMD Global uncovered the reboot of the iconic Nokia 3310 which has already hit the market and its first Android devices, the Nokia 3, 5 and 6, in February. The last three are about to make their way to the market sometime during next month.
If that wasn’t enough, word has it that three more Nokia handsets are underway, and it’s sooner than one can think.
Rumors of the Nokia 7, 8 and 9 have been whirling around, and they’re no softies if the leaks are to be accepted as true.

Here are some detailed specs expected from these new beasts:
Nokia 7: Encased in an elegant Metal casing boasting an FHD screen with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, Android Nougat, super-fast charging, the biometric sensor and the main camera with Carl Zeiss optics.
Nokia 8: 5.7-inch QHD screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9, a 22MP primary camera and 12MP front cam both incorporated with Carl Zeiss lenses, 6GB RAM, up to 128 GB of storage plus 256 GB of micro SD. Rumor has it that it will also come with a Snapdragon 660, with word that Nokia might be using the latest 835, just like Samsung Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
Nokia 9: Rumored to be the “most high-tech” smartphone device from Nokia ever is expected to boast a 5.5-inch quad-HD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and a screen aspect ratio of 18:9 (very much like the LG G6), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, Android Nougat and, similar to the Nokia 8, 6 GB RAM with up to 128 GB of internal storage and 256 GB of micro SD. It is being said that the Nokia 9 will have very emaciated metallic grooves, and will also be water-, dust- and scratch-resistant, incorporating biometric and iris sensor, voice assist and a 3800 mAh battery with super-fast charging. Its primary camera is said to be 22 MP with OIS and a front 12MP cam with an aperture of f/2.0, very efficient in low-light scenes. It’s also rumored to have a quite steep price tag of 750 euros ($840, almost Dh3,100) – putting it firmly next to the cream of the crop.
For good measure, GSM Arena revealed that the Nokia 9 has been glimpsed with a ludicrous 8GB of RAM, which could be the main reason why a “GeekBench” test results showed that the Nokia 9 surpasses other Snapdragon 835-equipped devices, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, Sony Xperia XZ Premium and the Huawei Mate 9.
