Volkswagen Set to Launch Two New Vehicles in Pakistan
Premier Systems Pvt. Limited, an authorized importer of Audi vehicles in the country is busy in finalizing the deal with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles to set up a car manufacturing and assembly plant in Pakistan. The manufacturing and assembling of Amarok and T6 (transporter range) models will be conducted within the country.
Volkswagen Amarok will be competing directly to the newly launched Toyota Hilux Revo whereas T6 (a multi-seat passenger van) is going to rival with Toyota Hi Ace in the country. Such durable vehicles are made for Pakistan, according to Volkswagen official. The target to establish 40 dealerships across the country will be our priority in terms of dealer development.
Volkswagen Commercial intends to develop the same manufacturing/assembly plant that Audi plans to build for assembling its own vehicles in Karachi. Volkswagen Group is the parent automaker giant and the German car maker, Audi AG is the subsidiary of the company. Premier Systems plans to develop a proper strategy for launching both Audi and Volkswagen in Pakistan, supporting their move to assemble vehicles within the country.
The latest automaker development in Pakistan under the new auto policy developed by the government will be beneficial for auto market boom. Renault along with Hyundai and Kia Motors are also putting their investments in the country by opening their assembling and manufacturing plants. Financial analysts and experts count foreign investments as an economic relief in Pakistan.
