Instagram, which aims to be the number one photo-sharing app for the entire world, intends to bring more users on its platform and is now on the verge of targeting locations where cellular networks are slow and mobile data is expensive.
The update is dedicated towards the rapidly developing world where users do not have access to a fast enough mobile network to handily download Instagram’s app on their devices. Additionally, the data cost of downloading the application can also be too expensive.
The updated mobile web version permits users to omit the waiting time for the download, data costs, and storage requirements while still having access to the basic functionalities.
However, the update is not yet available on Instagram’s desktop website and has been confined to the mobile website only.
