Naema Ahmed, E-commerce Startup Manager made it to BBC’s 100 Women 2016 List
E-commerce startup manager Naema Ahmed made her name on the BBC’s Women 2016 List. Lots of Pakistani women continue to make our nation proud internationally and some of them have recently proved the prosperous image of Pakistan by winning honors in their respective fields.
The recent success gained by an entrepreneur Naema Ahmed has taken the world by storm as she has been named in BBC’s 100 Women 2016 List. The organization celebrates 100 inspirational and influential women across the globe every year.
Naema Ahmed is a startup manager at E-Commerce website Shopistan.pk. The startup was founded in the year 2012. This online shopping website aims to bring an online retail experience within the country.
“I’ve never known any of a woman in my family to go to work. That’s totally fine if you want that sort of thing within the family – but I disagree. I wanted a different lifestyle for myself,” said the 25-year old manager.
In the year 2015, paraplegic artist and Goodwill ambassador at United Nations Women, Muniba Mazari and a school girl named Ayesha Ishtiaque were in the limelight by making their names on BBC’s 100 Women 2015 list.
