Earliest Harvest Energy Projects of CPEC to be Completed by 2019 says China
BEIJING – According to a latest statement from the capital city of the people’s Republic of China has stated that the majority of the early on harvest energy projects being constructed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor mega plan in Pakistan will be at their final stages before the end of 2019.
While addressing a press conference in Beijing this Wednesday, Hua Chunying, the spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China stated that eleven out of the seventeen prime concerned energy projects mutually designed by the Chinese and Pakistani panels under the mega project are under assembly.
She stated that: “A majority of energy developments are projected to be accomplished by the end of 2019, which will help mitigate energy crisis in Pakistan and bring benefits to the people.”
When questioned about the freshly inducted primary phase of Sahiwal power plant, the spokeswoman answered that the coal-powered energy plant is an imperative energy development under the CPEC Megaproject, and will relieve electricity deficiency for the assistance of the people in Pakistan.
According to Hua, once the plant is completed, it will become one of Pakistan’s coal powered plants with the biggest established capability, producing 1320 MW of electric power which will rally up with the energy necessities of nearly 10 million people.

Hua further added the installation indicates that we will soon see a multitude of energy ventures under the mega project be put up and finalized.
The Chinese spokeswoman stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif graced the ceremony with his presence on May 25 and highly lauded workers of China and Pakistan by carrying out the construction in a record time within a period of just 22 months.
Hua stated that the energy crisis in Pakistan will be greatly reduced and economical growth advantaged because of the large scale plans of CPEC.
She further added that China’s Belt and Road proposal is generating positive consequences in Pakistan and will also revolutionize the fate of countries and people along the itineraries.
“We are pleased to see that the Belt and Road, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor included, brings benefits to countries and people along the routes,” said Hua.
