Another Milestone of Patari: Collaboration with Facebook’s Music Stories Program
Patari is the Pakistani music platform like Saavn and Spotify that achieved a milestone to participate in Facebook’s Music stories Program that allow Patari to share audio tracks on the Facebook. The music tracks will be played directly from social media platform without the bother of going to the website.
According to press release on Thursday, Patari announced that it will join the new feature on Facebook that allow listeners to hear a 30 second preview of a shared song or album.
Khalid Bajwa, the CEO of Patari, said, “This partnership marks a turning point for local music industry, especially for us and our participation proof that it is possible to set up an adequate platform for Pakistani music that can have global reach.”
Facebook Music Stories is a format that allows user to listen shared song either from Facebook or website.
Ahmed Naqvi, the Director of Content of Patari, noted, “This collaboration with Facebook is an incredible move for our users to access a vast range of Pakistani songs and enhance social and cultural value of Pakistan further.”
Facebook is the most popular social media website across the globe and this new feature will lead to the higher engagement level among users.
Patari was launched in 2015 and become the first Pakistani digital media platform that paid royalties to its artist about 1.25 Million Rupees in last December. It is accessible both on web and mobile platform (Android and iOS). It shows off over hundred thousand active users on a monthly basis. Recently, Patari achieved 2nd position at the World Startup Cup.
