A Trip to Dubai City [Day 1]
Dubai is a scenic city and a hot spot destination for the tourists. Dubai is the most populous city of United Arab Emirates and famous for its gigantic shopping malls, superb cuisine and phenomenal architecture.
I got an opportunity to visit Dubai a while ago with my friend and was really impressed with the modernization of the city. The city has transformed into a global hub. Dubai Airport declared as the one of the busiest airports in the world and served more than 80 Million passengers in the year 2015.
We had a hotel reservation in the downtown Dubai, it was like 6:00 PM when we reached to our hotel. You can find the best hotel deals in dubai by planning your trip in low season.
The flight was so quick we didn’t feel that we were moved to another county; the same amount of time we spend moving with in Lahore over the weekend.
After taking a shower and a cup of tea that was complementary from the hotel we planned exploring the Dubai Mall, which was like 10 miles away from the hotel. As usual, I used the Uber app and found the cheap ride immediately. The driver was a Pakistani from Quetta and we had interesting chit chat. Dubai is a city of expats and Pakistanis make up around 21% of the total UAE population.
We were in front of The Dubai Mall after 30 minutes. What a magnificent shopping center, The Dubai Mall is the largest shopping mall exists on the planet earth. You can find the world’s best brands for shopping here and enjoy the super delicious food at the same time. We couldn’t stop ourselves and had a yummy Desi dinner.
We walked for like 5 hours in the Dubai Mall and were still not sure if we saw everything. Finally ended up at a delighted place, The Dubai Fountain!
The performance began; it was a fabulous experience to watch the dancing fountain with a mesmerizing music.
Dubai fountain is 275 meter long and fires water up to 150 meters high into the air. A little far away we can see the glorious Burj Khalifa, world’s tallest building. This is a MUST see for everyone who visits Dubai.
After spending an hour, we moved back to our hotel where we had our comfy bed waiting for us.
