5th Asian Beach Games: Pakistan defeats India to win First Kabaddi Gold
Pakistan registered its name for the gold medal in the 5th Asian Beach Games 2016 which was held at Da Nang, Vietnam in ‘Beach Kabaddi’ category by defeating its rival India with (30-28) on Tuesday.
In first half, Pakistan led by 16-11 and in the second half, India placed 17 more points on the scoreboard, but Pakistan won this match by adding important 14 points.
Nasir Ali, the Pakistan Captain, said, “It is a significant win for us and we are sure about our performance to dominate this match. We were strong enough in both halfs and India hadn’t ability to catch us.”
In the last movement, Nasir Ali made a quick move in the last minutes and brought Indian attacker down to earth. This is the movement when Pakistan registered its victory.
Mohammad Sarwar, Secretary of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF), said, “Indian Players were very experienced, but Pakistani players showed power and stamina to win this contest.”
Nabeel Ahmad Rana, the Coach of Pakistani Kabaddi Team was very happy on this occasion. He appraised the team for their outstanding performance.
Pakistan team will return back to home on Thursday. They are expecting Indian visas soon to participate in the Kabaddi World Cup 2016 which will start from 7th October.
